JANUARY 1, 1980 – AUGUST 23, 2018

Dr. Ibrahim was a pioneering and national leader in Orthobiologics. He was an inspiring figure and a brilliant mentor and educator to his colleagues and patients that had the opportunity to know him. He published several peer review papers as well as a textbook on regenerative treatments in sports and orthopedic medicine. His enthusiasm to collaborate and help others in the field of regenerative medicine will be greatly missed.

 

Dr. Victor Ibrahim Memorial Orthobiologics Scholarship

To honor TOBI Faculty, Dr. Victor Ibrahim, MD, for his contributions to orthobiologics, we created the Dr. Victor Ibrahim Memorial Orthobiologic Scholarship to provide FREE Symposium & Workshop registrations to TOBI X 2019 to ALL Residents, Fellows, Military, and Physicians in underserved regions. In addition, 10 scholarships will include FREE Cadaver Lab and $500 travel stipend to The Orthobiologic Institute (TOBI) 10th Annual PRP & Regenerative Medicine Symposium, Workshops and Cadaver Labs, June 6-8, 2019 at McCormick Place, Chicago, Illinois, USA.

ALL Residents, Fellows, Military, or Physicians in Underserved Regions, submit 300-word essay describing how attending TOBI X 2019 can benefit his/her education, practice, and community. Applications must be submitted via the form below by March 30, 2019 for $500 travel stipend, and by June 5, 2019 for Promo Codes. Applicants, also email info@prpseminar.com a photo ID documenting eligibility (student, military, region). Scholarships will be awarded and applicants will be notified of Scholarship no later than April 15, 2019.

Course Description

The Orthobiologic Institute (TOBI) provides the orthopedic pain management community the latest scientific research, important updates, and guidance to improve diagnosis and treatment of osteoarthritis and sports conditions. This CME program provides an opportunity to learn directly from world-renowned physiatrists, orthopedists, radiologists, and interventional spine physicians on the cutting edge of orthopedics and regenerative sports medicine.

Each year there are significant clinical and regulatory changes that affect the way we diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate orthopedic injuries. Attending The Orthobiologic Institute (TOBI) annually is an efficient and effective way to keep your knowledge and skills up to date on all of them.

PRP & Regenerative Medicine Symposium, Workshops and Cadaver Labs

Symposium provides lectures and panel discussions on the latest orthobiologic research and applications to improve:

  • Treatment outcomes for acute and overuse injuries of the spine, knee, hip, foot, and ankle, along with upper extremity conditions of the shoulder, neck, elbow, hand, and wrist

  • Understanding the role for various biologic injections including PRP, Lysate, BMC, Lipoaspirate, A2M, amniotic tissue and more

  • Selection and formulation of biologics for orthopedic indications

   

Workshops provide didactic lectures, panel discussions, and demonstrations covering the basic science, techniques, and tools for these orthobiologic treatments:

  • Beginner Basics: Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) & Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound-guided Injections

  • Lipoaspirate, Bone Marrow Aspirate & Intraosseous Injections

  • Interventional Spine Pain Management Biologics

   

   

  • Non-surgical management of musculoskeletal injuries

  • Decisions to refer patients for surgery

  • Surgical applications of orthobiologics

  • Rehabilitation and return to play

  • FDA Regulatory compliance

   

Cadaver Labs provide hands-on experience in these orthobiologic treatments:
