Omar Said, MD, is a Fellowship Trained International Pain Physician and Double Board Certified Anesthesiologist. Dr. Said completed his anesthesia residency ar Rush University Medical Center. At Rush, he was recognized with the Robert D. Dripps, MD Memorial Award for Most Outstanding Resident presented to the graduating resident who has displayed the most outstanding clinical and academic performance. He was also presented with the Katalin Selmeczi, MD Memorial Award for Humanism presented annualy to the resident who embodies spirit, humanism, devotion and courag. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Said successfully completed an interventional pain management fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic. At the conclusion of his training, he was again recognized with The Ethelee Smith, MD award for Most Oustanding Fellow.
Dr. Said hopes to incorporate his advanced training to provide the best overall patient experience. His mission centers around honesty and collaboration. He believes in instituting a system where the patient, physician, and medical staff work to clearly identify the source of the patient’s pain and then establish a clear treatment plan.
His clinical interests include: acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain, neuropathic pain, neuromodulation with spinal cord stimulation, cancer pain, and regenerative medicine with platelet rich plasma and stem cell therapy
